This season
In the farm's own words: "Blueberry picking is over for the season. The market is open by appointment." Apples and sweet cider follow in the autumn, and the farm says the 2026 season is almost here.
Checked August 22, 2026
Blue Jay Orchard sits in Troy Township, Geauga County, and picks two crops at opposite ends of the season: blueberries in summer, apples in autumn, with cider pressed on site.
Sweet cider made on site in the fall, local honey all season, a gift shop and snacks.
As of late August: "Blueberry picking is over for the season. The market is open by appointment." The farm adds that "The 2026 season is almost here!", meaning the apples.
Pro tip: Elliot is the one to ask after in the blueberry patch. It is the last highbush variety to ripen anywhere, often three weeks behind Duke, so if you turn up in early August thinking you have missed the season, Blue Jay may still have fruit when the farms around it do not.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
