Jelli's Market at Helenville has the widest picking list in this region and posts a running commentary on what is ripe, with a price against each line.

What You Can Pick

• Raspberries - $6.00 a pint red, $7.00 a pint yellow
• Apples - $3.00 a pound, Saturdays and Sundays 9am to 5pm and Wednesday afternoons 1pm to 5pm
• Strawberries, blueberries and peaches in summer
• Pumpkins, gourds and squash from the patch in autumn
• Pears and plums from the orchard

In the farm's own words: "Fall, what a fun time on the farm! Here at Jelli's you can pick your own pumpkin, gourds or squash from the patch, try your luck at our fall activities and games, take home fresh baked goods from our bakery, or bite into a juicy apple, pear, or plum from our orchard... that you picked!"

Good to Know

The raspberries are not picked every day. The farm says so directly: "We do not pick raspberries every day, so please check the website before planning a trip out to pick raspberries." Pre-picked raspberries are limited, first come first served after 9am, at $7.00 a pint.

Zestar apples opened the u-pick season this year at $3.00 a pound, the same price picked or pre-picked.

Pro tip: yellow raspberries at $7 a pint are a dollar more than red and worth it. They are sweeter, softer, and almost never sold in a shop because they will not travel.
