This season
A hard spring, told plainly. In the farm's own words: "Like many Midwest farms, our 2026 cherry crop was lost due to late spring freezes", with the freeze dated to 8 April. There is no cherry picking this year. Raspberry picking was limited to late June and early July, peaches are available only through limited pick-your-own workshops pre-sold by the basket, and the apple crop "is looking promising". Apples and sunflowers pick 10am to 5pm daily in season.

Quarry Hill Orchards at Berlin Heights runs the most carefully organised picking in this region, and it is also the farm that explains what happened to Ohio's fruit this spring.
Cherries. In the farm's own words: "Like many Midwest farms, our 2026 cherry crop was lost due to late spring freezes." Normally sweet cherries run mid-June to mid-July at 9am to 5pm.
"We have an established procedure for a successful Pick-Your-Own visit. It starts with purchasing an advance reservation (RSVP) online... Upon arrival, check in with our staff before entering the orchard to get directions for taking home the best possible quality fruit. On busy weekends, check in at the Pick Your Own Tent in the orchard before heading out!"
"Prior to orchard entry, guests are expected to pre-purchase picking bags and baskets for all hand-harvested fruit."
A timber-framed Market Barn open daily 9am to 6pm, Quarry Cones real fruit ice cream Thursday to Sunday 11am to 6pm, estate wines at Quarry Hill Winery, and apple gift boxes shipped at Christmas.
"Please note that Mother Nature is in charge, and exact harvest dates will vary! If you are traveling a long distance and expect to pick your own fruit, please call ahead (419-588-2858) to confirm availability. Our fruit is weather-dependent and varies daily."
Pro tip: book the reservation before you drive. Quarry Hill is the one farm in this region that genuinely runs on RSVPs, and turning up on a busy October Saturday without one is the difference between picking and looking.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
Market Barn hours, published by the farm and open daily. Picking keeps its own hours inside them: apples and sunflowers 10am to 5pm, cherries 9am to 5pm in a normal year. Quarry Cones runs Thursday to Sunday 11am to 6pm.
