Arrowhead Orchard

Arrowhead Orchard at Paris in Stark County opens as a fall festival for September and October, and picking sits inside the gate: "In order to pick apples, sunflowers, or pumpkins, you must purchase admission first."

What You Can Pick

• Apples - September and October. "Apple picking is only allowed in designated areas"
• Pumpkins - September and October
• Sunflowers - cut your own

What You Get With Admission

"Each adult admission includes a small apple-picking bag... Each admission includes one free sunflower clip." Season passes give unlimited entry all season and include the mini golf.

What Else is Available

Hayrides, a corn maze, apple cannons, mini golf, a playground, food trucks, a concession stand and the Applehouse Market, which sells apples, baked goods and canned goods and is open during festival hours plus Tuesday to Thursday 10am to 4pm.

Good to Know

Closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the festival. Last admission is sold at 5pm.

On access, honestly: "Some port-a-johns include handicap access. U-Pick areas may not be handicap accessible from terrain of property."

Pro tip: the small bag that comes with adult admission is genuinely small. If you want apples rather than an outing, work out the cost of admission for your party first, because at Arrowhead the fruit is the smaller half of what you are paying for.
