Riley's Farm

Riley's Farm at Oak Glen is an apple farm wrapped around a living-history theatre company, and its picking now happens mostly after dark.

What You Can Pick

Berry Picking Nights are ticketed evening events, running through the summer. Apples, raspberries, cherries and olallieberries across the year, with a U-Pick Mercantile on site.

What Else is Available

Rather a lot that is not farming: Living History Adventures open to the public and to schools, dinner shows, a Colonial Faire, The Armory, the Hawk's Head Bakery and restaurant, birthday parties, lodging, and Saturday "Adventures in the Old World".

Everything is ticketed. Berry Picking Nights, dinner shows and field trips all sell tickets in advance.

The farm is running a public fundraising campaign. Its own site carries a "Save Riley's Farm" section with a Donate button and a crowd-lending programme, and its journal discusses farm planning openly. Its future is under active discussion.

Pro tip: Berry Picking Nights in an Oak Glen summer are genuinely the right idea, because picking in an afternoon at 4,700 feet in August is hot work. Book, because they are events rather than opening hours.
