Forneris Farms

Forneris Farms at Mission Hills has been "Growing Greatness since 1966" and is the last working farm in the San Fernando Valley, sitting a quarter of a mile from the San Fernando Mission.

Pumpkins, in the annual patch. There is no fruit picking here.

What Else is Available

An old-fashioned family farm stand selling locally grown produce, and the thing the farm is actually famous for: "the Best Tomatoes in Southern California". Tomato season runs summer through late autumn.

A corn maze and a train ride in autumn.

Pro tip: thirty-two kilometres from downtown Los Angeles is as close as a working farm gets in this region. Go for the tomatoes in August and the pumpkins in October, and do not expect an orchard.
