EarthSeed Farm at Sebastopol is a certified organic Afro-Indigenous farm and agroforestry project, and it grows two things almost nobody else on this site does: Asian pears and persimmons.
U-pick hours run July to November and visits are by appointment only, booked through the farm's own site. That is a five-month window, which is long, on a farm that takes one party at a time, which is not.
No price is published. Email info@earthseedfarm.org.
Pro tip: come in October or November for the persimmons. They are the last fruit of the year anywhere in California, they ripen after the leaves have dropped, and an orchard of bare branches hung with orange fruit is the best thing you will see on a farm all year.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
