About This Farm
Chao's Strawberries on Walnut Boulevard at Brentwood is one of the few farms in this cherry-dominated corner that picks something else, and it opens five days a week, which for Brentwood is generous.

Strawberries. The farm says "U-Pick will be available Wednesday-Sunday" without itemising further.

Pro tip: "or until sold out" on an eight o'clock opening means the afternoon is a gamble. Brentwood is an hour from Oakland and the drive is only worth making before lunch.
