This season
Picking runs Wednesday to Sunday, 9am to 3:30pm, and the farm gives a free picking pass Wednesday to Friday. At the time of checking flowers, tomatoes, aubergine and sweet and hot peppers were all open.

Shady Brook Farm at Yardley stays open until ten at night from Wednesday to Saturday, which nothing else in this region does, and it gives away the picking pass on weekdays.
At the time of checking: flowers, tomatoes, aubergine and sweet and hot peppers, all marked open. Strawberries, blueberries, peaches, apples and pumpkins run through the rest of the year.
Free picking pass Wednesday to Friday. What you pick is charged on top.
A market and garden centre, the Farmer's Kitchen, Stone's Throw Pub and Uncle Dave's Ice Cream, the last two closed Mondays and Tuesdays and open until 10pm Wednesday to Saturday.
Picking is 9am to 3:30pm, Wednesday to Sunday, which is six and a half hours shorter than the market. Do not read the late closing time as a late picking time.
Pro tip: the free weekday pass is the whole trick here. A Wednesday morning costs nothing to walk into and the fields are empty; a Saturday is neither.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
Market and garden centre hours from the farm. PICKING IS MUCH SHORTER: Wednesday to Sunday, 9am to 3:30pm.
