This season
In the farm's own words: "We are now closed for the 2026 strawberry and blueberry picking seasons! Thank you to all our customers for another great year." U-pick strawberries were $3.60 a pound and there were no ready-picked berries this season.
Checked August 22, 2026
Rod's Berry Farm at North Branch has been a family strawberry farm since 1981, and it publishes both its price and a recorded berry report.
U-pick strawberries: $3.60 a pound.
In 2026 there were no ready-picked strawberries at all: pick or nothing.
Strawberries and blueberries.
The 2026 season is closed, both crops, as of 20 July.
The farm runs a recorded berry report on (651) 674-8765, and its instruction is unambiguous: "Call or check the berry report before coming out to pick."
Cash, cheque and credit cards accepted. At 28624 Zodiac St. NE.
The farm publishes a page called "Strawberries 30 Ways for 30 Days", which tells you something about how much fruit people leave with.
Pro tip: $3.60 a pound and no pre-picked option is a farm that has decided what it is. Turn up early in the season rather than late, because a patch with no wholesale outlet gets picked out fast.

Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
