Nelson's Apple Farm at Webster is a veteran-owned half-century orchard, established in 1974, and it keeps hours that are the opposite of what you would expect.
Picking hours: Saturdays and Sundays 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday 2pm to 6pm. Weekdays open four hours later, which catches people out.
The farm is open until the last weekend in October, with Christmas trees from the end of November.
There is a self-service stand with pre-picked apples and fruit on the front porch. Cash or cheque only at the self-service stand.
Tractor wagon excursions, a gift store, and apple tree care advice in February and March.

Pro tip: a two o'clock weekday opening exists because the mornings go on picking for the stand. It also means a Tuesday afternoon in the rows is about as quiet as apple picking gets within an hour of Minneapolis.

We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
PICKING hours from the farm. Weekends open four hours earlier than weekdays, which is the reverse of most orchards.
