In the orchard's own words: "The fall orchard season will begin with a soft opening, August 29 & 30th; hours 10 am to 5 pm. The regular fall orchard season will begin Labor Day Weekend, September 5, 6 & 7. Hours 10 am to 6pm. We will be open 7-days a week following Labor Day through Halloween."

Pleasant Valley Orchard near Taylors Falls overlooks the St Croix Valley, and it is refreshingly clear about what it is not: "amazing Minnesota grown apples, without a lot of bells and whistles."

It was voted Best Orchard in Minnesota by WCCO viewers in 2015, and offers an apple shed, a picnic area, nature and a barn to rent.
Pro tip: the St Croix Valley in full autumn colour is the reason to choose this orchard over one closer to the city. Go in the first week of October and the view does half the work.
