Orr's Farm Market at Martinsburg is the only West Virginia farm in this region, and it has had a hard year: the farm reports major loss from spring frost damage, and is offering season pass holders free Barnyard admission, 15% off animal feed cups or 10% off produce by way of compensation.
The Barnyard is open six days a week, 9am to 5pm, with the last reservation at 3pm.
There are two sites: the main farm at 682 Orr Drive, Martinsburg, and a market-only location at 8003 Charles Town Road, Shenandoah Junction. Only the first picks.
On pets: "We do not allow pets, due to our Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) food safety policy", ADA service animals excepted.
Pro tip: blackberries are plentiful and apples are rationed, which tells you exactly what the frost did and did not reach. Come for the brambles, and book if you want the trees.
Not available here: Pet Friendly.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
The Barnyard is open six days a week, 9am to 5pm, with the last reservation at 3pm. The closed day is not specified by the farm.
