Mackintosh Fruit Farm at Berryville pairs its picking with a Cider Room, a farm-to-table kitchen and, unusually, stand-up comedy nights.
At the time of checking: "Blackberries, Assorted Vegetables and Flowers are currently available for picking!"
Across a normal year the farm also grows apples, apricots, asparagus, peaches and beans.
The Cider Room, with hard cider, local wine and beer, live music and local food. A Market and Kitchen doing farm-fresh meals. Farm-to-table lunches and dinners. A CSA running May through October.
The farm publishes a "Pick-Your-Own Update" on its front page with what is currently open, which is the page to read.
Pro tip: apricots are the rarest thing this farm grows. They ripen in a ten-day window in midsummer and hardly any farm in the mid-Atlantic lets the public near them, so ask about them specifically rather than waiting for a sign.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
