Baugher's Orchards and Farms at Westminster runs an orchard, a petting zoo, a bakery, an ice cream window and a proper sit-down restaurant, and it has lost a crop this year:
"Sour Cherries are finished for the season. A late frost wiped out almost all of our crop this year."
At the time of checking: blackberries, cut flowers and sunflowers. Apples are marked "TBD" by the farm itself.
Across a normal year: strawberries, sweet and sour cherries, peas, peaches, nectarines, apples and pumpkins.
Picking runs Thursday to Sunday in high summer. In May and June it runs seven days, 9am to 5pm.
The Orchard Market opens Tuesday to Sunday, 9am to 6pm. The in-town restaurant runs 7:30am to 8pm Monday to Friday and the fruit market 8am to 8pm.
The farm publishes an unusually frank disclaimer: "Pick-Your-Own availability changes based on weather, crop conditions, ripeness, and customer demand. We cannot guarantee the availability of any specific fruit... We reserve the right to cancel or modify Pick-Your-Own activities at any time, including on the day of your visit, without prior notice."
Pro tip: that disclaimer is not corporate throat-clearing, it is a farm being honest after a frost year. Read the "What's Pickin'" display before you commit the day.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
PICKING hours from the farm, Thursday to Sunday in high summer. In May and June picking runs seven days. The Orchard Market opens Tuesday to Sunday 9am to 6pm and the in-town restaurant and fruit market keep separate hours.
