Milburn Orchards at Elkton is just over the Maryland line, an hour from Philadelphia, and it has lost two crops this year: "Check back summer 2027 for U-Pick Cherries & U-Pick Peaches."
The BIG BackYard, a farm market, and The Deck for food, open 10:30am to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday and to 4pm Sunday.
Picking runs Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday only, and the hours change by crop. The market is open Tuesday to Saturday 8am to 6pm and Sunday 9am to 5pm.
"We are closed on Mondays." Last admission to the BIG BackYard is an hour before closing.
Pro tip: three picking days a week is the tightest window of any farm this size in the region. Wednesday is the one to use, because Saturday and Sunday at a farm with a play park attached are a different experience entirely.
