Cherry Hill Orchards at Lancaster describes itself as the largest pick-your-own fruit farm, farm market and garden centre in Lancaster County, growing over 100 varieties of fruit.
Sweet and pie cherries, strawberries, apricots, peaches and apples, across a hundred-plus varieties. The orchard sells three sizes of container so you need not bring your own.
The market and garden centre open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, year round.
Picking hours are a different thing entirely. In the orchard's own words, "Our pick-your-own hours change through the season", and it publishes a live calendar rather than a timetable. Read that before you go.
At 400 Long Lane, where Route 324 meets Route 741.
Pro tip: a hundred varieties on one farm means the answer to "what can I pick" changes every ten days from May to October. The calendar page is the only honest source and the orchard says so itself.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
