Holmberg Orchards at Gales Ferry runs a picking window of four hours a day, six days a week, and closes it at one o'clock.
In the farm's own words: "Summer Season is HERE! Picking is OPEN 9-1 TUESDAY TO SUNDAY."
A nine-to-one window means the fruit is picked in the cool half of the day, which is the right way round for berries and unusual to see enforced.
There is a farm market and a winery on the same site.
Pro tip: one o'clock is a hard stop, not a wind-down. On a farm this size that means arriving at half past twelve gets you thirty minutes, so treat it as a morning outing or do not bother.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
Picking hours, published by the farm for the summer season and closed Mondays. The farm market and winery keep their own, longer hours.
