This season
In the farm's own words: "Pick Your Own 2026 begins Aug 22." Picking is weekends only, Saturdays 10am to 5pm and Sundays 10am to 4pm, by wagon to a designated area, with fruit weighed on return at $2.49 a pound. The varieties change with what is ripe that weekend.

Blue Hills Orchard at Wallingford opened its picking on 22 August 2026 and charges $2.49 a pound, weighed when you come back in.
"Our Pick Your Own activities will be operating Saturdays 10am-5pm and Sundays 10am-4pm. Customers may arrive at any point through these time slots to take part in the picking. Once you arrive, you must check-in to claim your spot on the wagon down to the designated picking area. The wagon will be cycling people in and out of the picking area all day... After customers are brought back in from the field, they must bring their fruit to be weighed and bought ($2.49 per pound)."
The farm is blunt about the field: "Please note that Pick Your Own is done outside in areas where bees, poison ivy, wildlife and other natural hazards are present. Pick at your own risk."
Also: "Pick only where designated (do not enter 'closed' areas)", and no professional photography sessions.
Pro tip: weekends only, and only two days a week, so the wagon queue is the whole experience on a fine October Saturday. Go on the Sunday, when the field shuts an hour earlier but far fewer people have made the drive.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
Pick-your-own hours from the farm's own page: weekends only, and the Sunday finishes an hour earlier. The farm stand keeps separate hours.
