This season
In the orchard's own words: "Produce is limited this year due to the April freeze. Unfortunately, many varieties of fruit did not produce." It asks you to ring 301-824-7466 for availability before coming.

Gardenhour Orchards north of Smithsburg is one of six farms in this region naming the April 2026 freeze, and it is blunt about the scale:
"Produce is limited this year due to the April freeze. Unfortunately, many varieties of fruit did not produce."
Apples, blueberries and strawberries in a normal year. This year, in the orchard's own words, many varieties simply did not produce.
The orchard asks you to call (301) 824-7466 to hear what is available, and it means it: "For Pick Your Own Information, Call our number above!"
You can visit the packing house for fresh fruit and the views over the Blue Ridge.
No pets, which the orchard puts kindly: "We love your pets, they are cute and wonderful, but for their safety they are better to remain in your car."
Pro tip: "many varieties of fruit did not produce" is a grower telling you the truth rather than a marketing line. Ring, ask which varieties survived, and go when they say.
Not available here: Pet Friendly.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
