Raspberry picking in New York, NY

Open every day year round, 9am to 8pm, with pick-your-own every day from May to October. Asparagus opens the season, which nothing else in this region picks.

At the time of checking, South Brunswick was picking blueberries and blackberries and the Washington site blackberries and raspberries. The picking fields open Tuesday to Sunday and are closed on Mondays.

In the orchard's own capitals: "Due to a devastating freeze during blossom time, fruits will be thin this year. NO CHERRIES FOR 2026!" Everything else runs to its usual calendar, strawberries in June through apples from late August to November.

Open daily 9am to 6pm, June through December. Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries are picked, along with peonies, dahlias and sunflowers. No reservations are needed.

Raspberries are in season at the time of checking. The Sunflower Festival ran 8 to 9 and 15 to 16 August, and Berry Fest 13 to 14 June. No outside food is allowed on autumn weekends and holidays.

Open every day 10am to 5pm from 19 June to 22 November. Entry is $5 a person on weekdays and $10 at weekends and on holidays, with college students free on production of a valid ID.

The farmstand is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm and closed Sundays. Pick-your-own runs 10am to 3pm, and at the time of checking peaches and berries were picking on Saturdays.

Open daily. The farm publishes a "What Can I Pick Today" page and an Annual Harvest Schedule rather than fixed crop dates, and a weekly circular for what is ready.

In the farm's own words, hours are "weekends only when in season and dependent on the seasonality of our crops". The farm keeps a recorded phone message updated when crops run low or it closes for weather, and asks you to ring first.

Berry picking, in June and early July, is closed for the season. The roadside stand restocks daily from mid August to December. Autumn apple and grape picking opens mid September and runs to the end of October.

Open weekends only, September through October, 9am to 5pm, plus Labor Day and Columbus Day weekends. Fifteen apple varieties are available for picking from the first weekend in September to the last weekend in October.

Sunflower and zinnia picking is running as a Golden Hour session, Friday and Saturday 3pm to 8pm. Entry to the flower field is $18 a person, with children two and over paying. Sunflowers are $2.50 each and zinnias and cosmos two for $1. Purchases in the fields are cash only.
