About This Farm
The Hubbard Homestead at Pierson is a two-acre blueberry patch, entirely self-serve, open dawn to dusk seven days a week. There is nobody to check in with and no gate to arrive before. The farm's own reminder puts it plainly: the U-Pick blueberry patch is self serve.
What You Can Pick
Blueberries, at $2.50 a pound. The 2026 season ran from July 4 to July 29.
The patch is grown with no sprays and no chemical fertiliser, which the homestead states directly rather than claiming a certification it does not hold.
What Else is Available
Raw honey, all year round, which makes this one of very few farms on this site worth a visit outside the picking season:

Dawn to dusk on a self-serve patch means you can pick at six in the morning in July, which is the coolest and quietest hour of a Michigan summer day and something almost no other farm on this site allows.
Pro tip: self-serve and dawn to dusk together make this the one farm in the region you can visit on the way to work. Take cash and go early.
