Apple picking in Grand Rapids, MI

Peaches, pears and blueberries are picking now. The orchard is open every day, 10am to 5pm, including holidays, rain or shine.

The farm opens for the season in early June. U-pick apples and the corn maze start at the beginning of September, when the orchard moves to seven days a week.

Open seasonally, August to October. Entry to the farm is free; the corn maze and Back 40 are $14 a person with under-threes free. Weekday hours run from 7am, and weekends open from early September.

Cherry season has finished. Peaches ran their final weekend on August 21 to 23. Autumn apples open on August 28 and run daily to late October, with the corn maze back for Labor Day and the pumpkin patch from late September.

THERE ARE NO CHERRIES THIS YEAR: the farm lost the crop to spring freezing. Apple picking opens by September 18, and requires a Fall Festival ticket at weekends. Asparagus, strawberries and pumpkins run their usual seasons.

The season runs mid-September through October. Fridays are evenings only and October only; Saturdays and Sundays run through the day.

Open for 2026. U-pick blueberries are $2.75 a pound and u-pick red and black raspberries $3.00 a pint. The market runs 9am to 6pm on weekdays and 9am to 2pm on Saturday, closed Sunday.

The fall season runs September 12 to October 31, 2026, with u-pick apples and pumpkins. Summer events run on select dates from July 25, and the Christmas season opens November 28.

Cherry season finished on July 11. The corn maze is running through August and September, apples come in September and October, and the haunted maze and pumpkin patch follow in October.

Apple picking opens in early September. The 2025 price was $1.50 a pound; 2026 has not been published.

Strawberries in June at $2.50 a pound, peaches, plums and nectarines through July and August, and twelve apple varieties from late August. The pick-your-own apple orchard opens on selected weekends only in September and October.

U-pick starts with blueberries and runs on through raspberries, peaches, nectarines, plums, apples and pumpkins. The farm asks you to ring 269-561-5126 for the daily u-pick schedule, because it changes.

Sweet cherry picking opened on June 22 at $3.50 a pound. Peaches follow, and apples from mid-September.

Cherry picking opened on June 25. Tart cherries are $3 a pound to pick from early July; pre-picked sweet cherries are $4. Apples follow in the autumn. Cash or cheque only, and no pets.

Apple picking opens on August 20 with Zestar and Sweet MAIA, which is among the earliest openings in the region.

Cherries opened June 11 at $3 a pound, blueberries July 3 at $2.50, and Zestar apples on August 10 at 75 cents a pound or $10 a half bushel. The farm has a limited number of bushes and asks you to ring ahead.

Apple picking opens on September 11. U-pick runs Fridays and Saturdays only, 9am to 5pm, but a self-serve pole barn is open every day 9am to 5pm.
